The darkest Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode

April 10, 2010

I just finished watching the Chill of the Night episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I must say it reminded me a lot of Batman: The Animated Series probably because the episode was written by Paul Dini who wrote for that series. The episode also featured voice acting work from Kevin Conroy as Phantom Stranger and Mark Hamill as The Spectre who were Batman and the Joker in the animated series if you didn’t already know that. Another fun surprise was Adam West as Thomas Wayne. The episode itself was dark but also a classic interpretation of Batman’s origin with Phantom Stranger and The Spectre trying to influence his actions as an agent for justice or vengeance, and all the while Batman is trying to solve the mystery of who murdered his parents. A great episode, great for Batman fans young and old.
